"Alex, what’s so great about Accelerated Coaching anyway?"

Accelerated Business and Career Coaching is an optimized blend of a variety of change work modalities and coaching principles, including cognitive and behavioral philosophies, solution-focused and strategic approaches, as well as the study of perception, the effects of language on our experience, and range of choices we perceive as a result.

The foundational concepts that allows all of these to be brought together are a neural network model of the mind borrowed from cognitive science, as well as a pragmatic, working theory of the Unconscious Mind derived from applied hypnosis.

The following are descriptions of some of the key techniques and their specific benefits to you in accelerated coaching:

Time Line Reprocessing

© 1987-2005, Advanced Neuro Dynamics Time Line Reprocessing was created by applying principles and techniques from several change modalities (reframing, perceptual positions, etc.) to the concept of an internal, largely unconscious memory storage system.

It is a process of guided imagination where clients imagine traversing their "Time Line" and letting go of negative emotions or limiting beliefs. Clients can also insert new events into their future Time Line that support their desired outcomes and align their mind with their goals at a deeper level.

With these techniques clients achieve rapid, lasting results in their business and personal lives. Less than useful emotional reactions, such as outbursts of anger, periods of apathy, sadness, or anxiety, as well as Limiting Decisions, such as "I’m not good enough," "I’ll never be rich," or "I don’t deserve a great career," create problems and false limitations and may hamper your ability to achieve your career goals and the overall quality of life you desire.

Many modalities work on addressing these kinds of issues, but none of them can match the sheer speed and effectiveness of Time Line Reprocessing.

Throughout history, the passage of time and its relation to human consciousness has been studied as a phenomenon. Aristotle was the first to mention the "stream of time" (Physics IV), and the American psychologist William James spoke of a linear memory storage as early as 1890. Finally, the concept was revived in the late 1970’s by the developers of NLP, and from there further developed by others.

Your "Time Line" is how you unconsciously store your memories, or how you know the difference between a memory from the past and a projection of the future. Since behavioral change in an individual takes place at the unconscious level, Time Line Reprocessing targets that level to release the effects of your past negative experiences and to change disempowering programming in minutes rather than days, months or years.

This is possible because your Unconscious Mind already knows how to navigate your Time Line (and these are "waking state" guided meditations requiring no formal hypnotic induction). The techniques simply show the client a method for permanently letting go of old issues by doing a temporal context reframe on a given past event.

Additionally, it has been found that the unconscious mind can then be prompted do the same on its own to all similar events stored in a chain of associated neural networks. Therefore this technique works a lot faster and more thoroughly than similar redecision or regression approaches.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

© 1987-2005, Advanced Neuro Dynamics Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) began with a methodology of so-called modeling, the process of studying and then duplicating excellent behavior in a spirit of curiosity and experimentation. It was found that other people’s behavior can be best duplicated by focusing not only on what they do externally (their behaviors), but also what they do internally (their language, beliefs, values, strategies, etc.) to produce results.

NLP was initiated by Richard Bandler and John Grinder when they began modeling the seemingly "magical results" of a few top communicators and masters in their respective fields. Some of the first people to be studied included the father of modern applied hypnosis – Milton Erickson, the creator of the Gestalt approach – Fritz Perls, and the famed family counselor Virginia Satir.

Since communication and language were the primary focus, a more general question soon arose: How does language affect our internal experience (our perceptions), and in turn our behaviors?

Since then, many others have contributed to the growth and development of the field, with the "trail of techniques" that resulted from these modeling activities now commonly known as NLP. Today, NLP is widely used in business to improve management, sales, performance, inter-personal skills – such as developing rapport, and to aid in motivation and overall personal development.

What others say about NLP:

"[NLP] does offer the potential for making changes without the usual agony that accompanies these phenomena… Thus it affords the opportunity to gain flexibility, creativity, and greater freedom of action than most of us now know…"
- Training and Development Journal

"… real estate brokers and salespeople use Neuro-Linguistics to enhance their communication skills and provide them with more choices when working in a difficult situation… it shows how we make sense of the world around us and communicate."
- Real Estate Today

"NLP cannot be dismissed as just another hustle. Its theoretical underpinnings represent an ambitious attempt to codify and synthesize the insight of linguistics, body language, and the study of communication systems."
- Psychology Today
